Matrix Series Configurable Truck
Weighing System
Fairbanks Matrix truck weighing system challenges
conventional truck scale design with its
revolutionary modular approach to obtaining legal-for-trade
vehicle weights in low-volume weighing applications
The configurable truck weighing system reduces cost
by utilizing steel scale platforms under each set of
truck scale axles and concrete modules (dead spans)
between scale platforms. The ultra-low-profile
Matrix is designed for installation on a level,
unyielding surface, thereby eliminating other cost
associated with building a foundation or pit.

Titan Steel Deck Above Ground Truck
Scale
Designed to the highest standards in the industry,
Fairbanks’ Titan Steel Deck Truck Scale outperforms
all contenders across the board, making it the new
heavyweight champion in its class. In head-to-head
comparisons, the Titan ranks number one in Gross
Weight Capacity, Load Cell Capacity, Deck Plate
Thickness, I-beam Construction, CLC Rating and sheer
Steel Weight.
The Titan Steel Deck Truck Scale is constructed from
multiple 12” and 16” Structural Steel I-beams. These
massive supports, coupled with the thickest standard
deck plate on the market, produce an extremely rigid
weigh bridge that easily handles the demands of
America’s toughest truck scale applications. Extreme
or redundant loads won’t cause dimpling or rolling
damage found on other so-called, heavy-duty truck
scales.

Portable Axle Load Scales
Fairbanks' Portable Axle Load Scale is constructed
in a subframe that totally eliminates the need for a
pier or slab foundation. A flat, unyielding surface
such as asphalt or concrete is all that ’s required
to install the complete unit. By eliminating the
foundation, both installation and relocation of this
scale are a snap,requiring minimal time,effort and
money. If change in process, traffic flow, or
location occurs, the Fairbanks Portable Axle Load
Scale offers the ultimate in weighing flexibility.

Bending Plate
The
Bending Plate Scale contains load-weighing elements
installed within a robust CNS machined steel pad.
Six load-measuring transducers mounted within the
steel pad are designed to allow the scale to be
linearized across the entire weighing width. Each
scale is mounted flush with the road surface with a
depth of no more than 4 inches (100 mm). The Bending
Plate Scale is completely waterproof and produces
accurate measurements in all weather conditions.

Canadian Scale EP/HP
Series
Designed for
portability, EP/HP Series Portable Truck
Scales are designed for heavy-duty weighing
in locations where a permanent Truck Scale
is not required. Versatile and cost-effective,
the EP/HP's self-contained modules make it a
snap build a configuration that fits your
application requirements. You can add side
rails, in any height and length
configuration, to ensure that trucks are
able to move on and off your scale safely.
The EP/HP features side and top access to
load cells which greatly simplifies
installation and routine maintenance. The EP/HP
also incorporates a lock-down system that is
used to prevent damage to load cells and
mounting assemblies while the scale is being
transported. Standard steel end
walls are designed to allow high-compression
backfilling of approach ramps.

EFDI/HFDI Truck Scales
are the heavy
weights in the Low Profile class of Truck Scales.
Built with more steel than most other Low
Profile Truck Scales currently available, our
scale sets itself apart as the Truck
Scale for the toughest truck weighing
applications on earth.
Available in 14″
and 18″ profiles, EFDI/HFDI Truck Scales are
engineered to deliver exceptional performance.
EFDI/HFDI Truck Scales are available in both
steel deck and concrete deck configurations.
Under legal highway loads, the EFDI/HFDI
weighbridge deflects less than 1:850. In
addition, it stands at an overall height of 20″,
providing a large and easily accessible clean
out. With an up to 14′ wide loading area it
delivers greater safety and faster processing,
allowing your operation to run at full potential.

Emery Winslow
The Hydrostatic Load
Cell is a simple mechanical mechanism which
functions according to known hydrostatic Laws of
Physics. It consists of a piston, a base, a
cylinder and a diaphragm. A thin film of fluid
is sandwiched between the base and the diaphragm.
The piston presses against the diaphragm.
The result is only a
small amount of fluid is required (e.g. less
than one pint of fluid used in a 80 foot truck
scale). Each Hydrostatic Load Cell type is
designed with an exact "acting area" - a known
value in units of square inches. For example,
when a known weight is applied to a hydrostatic
load cell with a known "acting area", the output
in PSI is predictable.
A 50,000 lb.
weight applied to an "acting area" of 50 square
inches will have an output of 1,000 PSI.
The secret, of
course, is to design the hydrostatic load cell
with a linear relationship between weight
applied and pressure output. For example, if
50,000 lbs. yields 1,000 PSI, then 25,000 lbs.
must yield 500 PSI and 100,000 must yield 2,000
PSI.
